"These three pieces are choreographic powerhouses. They exemplify the direction dance is headed and changing the way people think about dance\," says Morgan. Yuri Possokhov\, renowned choreographer in residence with San Francisco Ballet\, brings Classical Symphony\, demonstrating his unique brand of classical ballet--with a twist. Feast of the Gods\, by Edwaard Liang\, artistic director of neighbor city and frequent collaborate BalletMet Columbus\, is a deftly-nuanced\, high-energy piece set to the angular yet lush violin works of Ottorino Respighi. Trey McIntyre's Chasing Squirrel completes the forward-thinking evening.
