Angel Lombert: A Life Committed to Community Service
The Hispanic Chamber of Cincinnati, USA, proudly features Angel Lombert in its “Kudos Corner” for his remarkable contribution and meaningful impact in Ohio and the Dominican Republic.
The Hispanic Chamber of Cincinnati, USA, honors Mr. Lombert, founder and President of the non-profit Dominican Association, The Sound of Quisqueya, and board member of the Hispanic Chamber of Cincinnati, USA Advisory board.
Mr. Lombert’s life committed to community service is remarkable. He registered Dominicans in Cincinnati to vote in the Dominican Republic presidential elections (2016), and organized the Dominican and Multicultural Parade with collaborators and sponsors (2014, 2015, and 2016). He organized a gala dinner for Operation Smile (2017), sponsored various products, and provided food assistance to over 20 families at the Booker T. Washington Community Center in Hamilton, Ohio (2018). Recently, Mr. Lombert, with the support of community members and contributions from MEIJER STORE, delivered clothing, food, and school supplies to MADELAES shelter and orphanage in the Dominican Republic (February 11, 2026).
Mr. Lombert’s significant contributions to Ohio include organizing the inaugural Dominican Republic Independence Restoration Day parade in 2014 with the Dominican Association. His commitment to promoting Hamilton globally and attracting visitors has shaped its cultural landscape. In collaboration with The Sound of Quisqueya, and other organizations, Mr. Lombert celebrated the first anniversary of the Forest Park Public Library in Hamilton County, Cincinnati, with a “Celebration of Diversity” event on September 13, 2023.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Angel completed his high school education in the municipality of La Victoria. Subsequently, he graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), the first university established in the New World, in 1989. Angel is a professional photographer, having graduated from The New York Institute of Photography. Mr. Lombert served as a reporter and photographer for the Hispanic newspaper, formerly known as La Jornada Latina and currently known as La Mega Nota, until 2023.
