Marco Trujillo: Grand Marshal of the 2026 Cincinnati Pride Parade

The Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati Foundation (HCCUSA Foundation) proudly features Marco Trujillo in our “Kudos Corner” for his dedication to supporting LGBTQ+ and vulnerable communities.

As a bilingual health educator and counselor, Mr. Trujillo has worked in hospitals and nonprofits, including Equitas Health, Santa Maria Community Services, Cincinnati Children’s, and Mercy Health. He supports LGBTQ+ individuals who face intersectional challenges due to language barriers, homophobia, and transphobia.

The Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati Foundation honors Mr. Trujillo for advocating over the years in schools, on television, on the radio, in newspapers, and throughout the community. He has become one of the most influential Latinos in the Greater Cincinnati area, with his mission and impact visible across the community. Mr. Trujillo values collective growth, equity, and empathy over individual achievement.

Mr. Trujillo’s approach has helped him to advocate for building support networks for HIV/AIDS and STD education and testing, while also addressing healthcare disparities. In addition, he advocates for immigration, mental health, suicide prevention, domestic violence awareness, child abuse prevention, substance abuse support, plus other essential services for underserved communities.

We commend Mr. Trujillo for his truly impactful support, empathy, companionship, informed caregiving, and honoring of the personal dignity of people dying of AIDS when no one else was there to offer compassion, love, and comfort during those difficult times, staying with them until their last breath.

Mr. Trujillo is deeply committed and serves as a valuable resource for the Cincinnati and tri-state communities by connecting people with health resources, educating the public, promoting programs, and providing support through his radio show and current position at Mercy Health. He also dedicates time as a volunteer advocate, especially for LGBTQ+, Hispanic, and underserved communities. Marco also loves animals and is always willing to help those in need.

We congratulate Mr. Trujillo on being the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Cincinnati Pride Parade on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Cincinnati Pride is a celebration of our LGBTQ+ community! No hate speech, bullying, spam, or trolling will be tolerated. Mr. Trujillo was honored with the Cincinnati Pride Hero Award in 2018 for his recognition and commitment to community service. We praise Mr. Trujillo for using his voice and experience to educate and advocate through his educational radio show on La Mega 101.5 FM in Cincinnati (for 11 years), as well as through his writing for La Mega Nota (a Spanish-language newspaper).

Mr. Trujillo is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico, 1997), and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from CBTis 50 (Vocational secondary school in Tlalnepantla de Baz, Mexico). Over the years, he earned professional certifications, including Community Health Worker, HIV Tester, and Counselor certifications through the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Ohio Department of Health, respectively. These certifications enhance his ability to serve and support the community through his commitment to public health. He has lived in the US for two decades.
