SUMMARY:61st Annual Veterans Day Commemoration
DESCRIPTION:Nathan Pelletier\, a veteran of the war in Iraq and a Cincinnati business leader\, will give the keynote adress at the 61st Veterans Day Commemoration 10:45 a.m Wednesday\, Nov. 11\, in the Main Library s Reading Garden Lounge. Pelletier is executive director of the Joseph House and founder of BlueFire Innovations.\n\n\n\nA graduate of West Point and of the U.S Army Ranger and Airborne Schools\, he deployed in 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III and earned the Combat Infantryman Badge and Bronze Star for outstanding leadership.\n\n\n\nHe joined Procter & Gamble in 2009 and worked in Product Supply and then Global Design Marketing. While on sabbatical from P&G in 2012\, he led a research project to study the transition of military service members to civilian life and authored a proposal to address the challenges of their reintegration. Subsequently\, he left P&G to take over as executive director of the Joseph House where he was implemented a plan focused on optimizing the Joseph House treatment and recovery program as well as developing a program to ensure that clients are able to reintegrate and sustain a productive lifestyle in the community. The Joseph House serves homeless veterans suffering from addiction within our community and provides them the support they need to maintain a lifelong commitment to recovery and thrive in the community. Pelletier recently started a company called BlueFire Innovations where he works with aspiring entrepreneurs ans established companies to grow their buisness using innovation systems. He is also a member of Northwestern Univeristy s Kellogg School of Managment\, Class of 2017.\n\n\n\nThe 61st Veterans Day Commemoration program includes the Hamilton County Sheriff s Office Pipes & Drums\, the lighting of the Flame of Remembrance\, music by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra s Brass Trio\, a presentation of Memorial Wreaths and the playing of   Taps  . This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Public Library and the Library Programs Fund.
