Celebrating Impact & Justice - Seniors Who Rock 2026

Pro Seniors, a nonprofit that helps older Ohioans, is again recognizing the invaluable impact of older members of the community by honoring three Seniors Who Rock. Alfonso Cornejo, Howard D. Elliott, and Julieta Simms will be honored on Wednesday, August 12, beginning with a social hour at 4:30 p.m. and awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m., at 20th Century Theater, 3021 Madison Road.The award recognizes people over 70 years old who are engaged, inspiring, and contributing to the vibrancy of our community.

Alfonso Cornejo, President and a founding member of the Hispanic Chamber Cincinnati USA, is also an independent Human Resources consultant who works with regional companies in their Hispanic workforce development effort; Howard D. Elliott and colleagues established WEB Ventures, a management consulting company focused on economic inclusion on large, and commercial development projects; and Julieta Simms, is an educator, advocate, a member of Christ Church Cathedral’s Vestry, and Board Secretary for Housing Opportunities Made Equal (H.O.M.E.). Each honoree will talk about what keeps them rockin’.

Pro Seniors helps older Ohioans resolve their legal and long-term care problems and fight Medicare fraud through three programs: legal services, long-term care ombudsman, and Ohio SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol).
