Downtown Cincinnati Is Calling: Here’s Your Weekend Plan

Source

A weekend of eating and drinking in Downtown Cincinnati — what could be better? Kick off your Friday evening at Music at the Market, where Findlay Market becomes the perfect venue to enjoy some live local music. Cincinnati artist Jacob Groves will perform at Jane’sfrom 5 to 7 p.m. while you grab a drink, enjoy a bite from a market merchant, or wander through the stalls. It’s a laid-back way to ease into the weekend.

From there, it’s off to the races. Grab your crew for the Over-the-Rhine Derby Dashon Saturday and celebrate the 152nd Kentucky Derby as you “gallop” through five participating stops. Begin at Low Spark by 4 p.m. to pick up your passport and inflatable horse, then make your way through Derby-themed stops, including The LackmanJapp’s, and Rosedale, before finishing at Nice Life, the official Winner’s Circle. Expect mint juleps, themed games, and plenty of friendly competition along the way. Dress the part in seersucker and your best Derby hat, and don’t forget to register in advance.

If tacos are more your style, the 7th Annual Cincinnati Taco & Tequila Bar Crawl brings a full-on fiesta to OTR. Check in at On the Rhine Eatery to grab your taco tokens and map, then work your way through participating spots like Pata RojaLalo, and Queen City Exchange. Along the route, you’ll find tacos, margaritas, tequila specials, and DJs keeping the energy high. Your ticketincludes four tacos and drink specials throughout the crawl.

And the celebration doesn’t stop there — Cincy-Cinco is coming to Fountain Square on Saturday and Sunday for a two-day celebration of Latin culture. Expect live music, including salsa, merengue, and bachata performances, along with authentic food vendors, folkloric showcases, and plenty of family-friendly activities like games, piñatas, raffles, and a Conga line parade. Check out the full schedule to plan your visit and see everything happening throughout the weekend.
