Make a night of it; museum open late select Fridays
Reduced admission from 5 to 8 p.m. on select Fridays starting May 15; OMNIMAX® Theater also offering evening showtimes
CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is keeping the lights on a little later on select Fridays. Starting May 15, CMC’s Museum of Natural History & Science and Cincinnati History Museum will both remain open until 8 p.m. so you can visit some of your favorite exhibits on your time. With the extended hours, the museum is also offering reduced admission for those visiting during the evening.
Whether you’re looking to spend date night with the dinosaurs, kick start a slumber party in The Cave or just want to spend a little time after school on the cobblestone streets and Queen of the West on The Public Landing, the extended hours offer more museum fun for everyone. The added hours make the museum more accessible for guests and Members who want to get their museum fix in around work schedules and busy weekends.
Plus, with evening OMNIMAX® showtimes every Friday and Saturday, you can make a night of it. The museum is offering a rotating selection of classic films and new releases in the OMNIMAX® Theater with showtimes as late at 7:30 p.m. on weekends. Select concessions and refreshments are available to enjoy in the theater.
Friday evening tickets for Museum Admission are reduced after 5 p.m., offering admission to the Museum of Natural History & Science and Cincinnati History Museum for $12 for adults and $9 for children and seniors. Evening admission is free for CMC Members.
The Children’s Museum will not be open during extended hours.
The museum will offer extended hours on the third Friday each month, with future dates scheduled for June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20 and December 18.
